Enbridge At FCC AGM

The Flamborough Chamber of Commerce (FCC) is pleased to announce an important item has been added to the agenda for Wednesday’s Annual General Meeting (AGM).

Representatives from Enbridge will be in attendance to explain in detail – and answer questions – about its plans for ‘Line 9.’ Enbridge proposes to ‘reverse’ the flow of oil from Westover to refineries in the Montreal area. The company argues such a move will help Canada reach a goal of energy independence. However, critics have raised many concerns, mostly around the issue of spills and environmental degradation.

This is an opportunity for FCC members to listen and learn and then participate in a thoughtful and thorough discussion.

FCC AGM

The FCC will convene its AGM this WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 18 beginning at 7:30 p.m. at the Dutch Mill Country Market. In addition to the Enbridge discussion, the items on the agenda include the audited financial statements and the election of new members for the FCC Board of Directors (BOD). Please join us.

To better prepare, please pre-register with the FCC office (either by return email or by calling 905-689-7650).
