This past Saturday, Ancaster-Dundas-Flamborough-Westdale MP David Sweet honoured nine extraordinary area citizens by presenting them with a Queen’s Jubilee Medal which commemorates the 60th anniversary of the ascension of Queen Elizabeth II to the throne. Among the recipients was FCC Past President Sandy Gray, whose enormous contributions to the community have been recognized by the FCC with a Lifetime Achievement Award.

Sandy was nominated for the award by Ward 14 Councillor Robert Pasuta. The nomination was supported by Executive Director Debra Tigchelaar of Drummond House, FCC Treasurer Janet Barnard (who along with Sandy is a member with of the Dundas-Ancaster-Flamborough chapter of Soroptimists International) and FCC Executive Director Arend Kersten.
