‘What’s Your Path’ Meeting Tonight
Representing a unique partnership between the Healthy Community-Healthy Youth (HC-HY) initiative, the Flamborough Chamber of Commerce (FCC) and Waterdown District High School (WDHS) and its ‘feeder’ schools, a meeting will be convened at 7 p.m tonight (Thursday, January 9) at Allan A. Greenleaf School on Parkside Drive in Waterdown to assist parents of Grade 8 students make high school curriculum choices. The featured speaker is prominent businessman Ron Foxcroft of Fox 40 and Fluke Transport fame. Ron is a WDHS alumnus. After the presentation by Ron Foxcroft, FCC Executive Director Arend Kersten will moderate a panel discussion – complete with a question and answer session – including – in addition to Ron Foxcroft – Jim Campbell (Adventec), Ward 14 Councillor Robert Pasuta (representing the agricultural sector) and Wally Boonstra (Excel Heating & Air Conditioning). Obviously, this meeting is primarily designed for parents and their children who will be enrolling in WDHS next year. But it is a public meeting and all those interested are more than welcome to attend.
