The FCC BOD has accepted an invitation from the Guelph Chamber of Commerce to co-sponsor a resolution calling on the provincial government to move forward with the construction of a bypass around Morriston. The bypass would connect Highway #6 west of Guelph to Highway #6 south of Morriston. Currently, all traffic is forced through the village creating daily traffic chaos.

The resolution will be presented to the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Ontario Chamber of Commerce (OCC) later this year. If adopted, it will become official OCC policy, directing staff to make the issue a priority in its discussions with Queen’s Park.
