FCC Executive Director Arend Kersten has accepted an invitation to a luncheon tomorrow hosted by the Hamilton Chamber of Commerce (HCC). The special guests will be provincial Cabinet Ministers Glen Murray (Infrastructure and Transportation) and Ted McMeekin (Community and Social Services). The focus of the meeting will be the proposed LRT (light rail transit) program for Hamilton. Council has endorsed the project – but only if the province pays the entire costs. The province is now looking at a range of “revenue tools’ to pay for The Big Move (which includes LRT in Hamilton).
