LAST CALL – OBA TICKETS
This is the ‘Last Call’ for tickets to Friday’sOutstanding Business Achievement (OBA) awards gala. We have to provide a firm number of attendees to Classic Catering at the African Lion Safari by the end of the day.
The OBA gala is virtually sold out … but there’s always room for a few more. To join the Flamborough Chamber of Commerce (FCC) in ‘recognizing, honouring and celebrating the very best in corporate excellence and community service’ simply register online:
The weather forecast is good (sunny but cool … and no snow) and some of the finest residents of the African Lion Safari can’t wait to greet you.
The entire OBA gala will be taped for later broadcast by our partners at TV Cogeco in Burlington. Also, one attendee will go home with a pair of Westjet tickets to a destination of choice anywhere in North America.
Those of you who have indicated they want to join us but who have not completed the formal registration, we ask you to do so as soon as possible.
FCC BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The FCC Board of Directors (BOD) will need several new members later this year. The selection will take place at the FCC’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) in September. The FCC is especially eager to diversify its BOD membership.
The FCC BOD usually meets once a month (every month except July and August) starting at 7:30 a.m. All BOD members are also expected to attend as many FCC events as their schedules allow.
Leaving the day-to-day management to staff, the BOD oversees the overall direction of the FCC, including approving an annual budget and determining ‘official’ policies and procedures.
If you are interested, please contact the FCC office or any current member of the BOD (listed at the left of this – and every – edition of Members Only).
