Last week, FCC Executive Director Arend Kersten attended a meeting hosted by the Hamilton Chamber of Commerce (HCC) where Progressive Conservative MPP Todd Smith of the Belleville area was the guest speaker. MPP Smith has been charged by Leader Tim Hudak to consult with businesses across the province and then prepare a ‘white paper’ detailing specific recommendations/suggestions as to how to reduce the red tape burden. Among other things, Arend used the occasion to again express concern about changes to the revenue sharing plan between Queen’s Park and Ontario’s horse racing industry. Stay tuned!!
