FCC Welcomes a New AA

Executive Director Arend Kersten is delighted to announce the appointment of Lorie Crisp as the new ‘Administrative Assistant’ (AA) for the Flamborough Chamber of Commerce (FCC).Lorie brings a wealth of ‘chamberland’ experience to the position (Burlington Chamber of Commerce: 1989-2004; Ontario Chamber of Commerce: 2004-2007; Greater Kitchener Chamber of Commerce: 2007-2009). She has just completed a contract project with the Brampton Board of Trade.She is also currently the ‘CEO of the CEO’ (Chamber Executives of Ontario). The CEO holds a couple of conferences each year open to all chamber executives across Ontario providing networking and professional development opportunities.

The added bonus is that Lorie lives on Woodhill Road in rural West Flamborough. Her husband teaches computer engineering at a high school in Oakville. One of her joys is her four-year-old grandson who lives in Hamilton.

Lorie’s strengths, interests and experiences lie in the areas of office administration, computer literacy and ‘membership engagement’ (membership recruitment and retention, event planning and hosting, development of membership benefits, etc.).

Lorie assumed her new responsibilities this morning. Initially, she will be in the FCC office Monday through Thursday from 9 p.m. 2 p.m.
