CRAZY WEEK
These are very busy times for the FCC. In addition to preparing for the AGM on Wednesday evening, it is also time to send another Bottom Line to press. Watch for your copy in the Flamborough Review the end of next week.
This Wednesday, both the OLG and the Great Canadian Gaming Company (owners of Flamboro Downs) will appear before Hamilton Council to address the changes the Dalton McGuinty provincial government is proposing to its ‘slots and trots’ program. The proposed changes could have a dramatic impact on the Flamborough economy. Stay tuned.
Then on Thursday and Friday, FCC Executive Director Arend Kersten will be attending the annual meeting of the ‘Chambers of Commerce Executives of Canada’ (CCEC) which is meeting in Hamilton in conjunction with the Canadian Chamber of Commerce (CCC) AGM and Convention. The CCC AGM will meet from Saturday through Monday.
At the CCC AGM, delegates from across Canada will debate policy resolutions, setting federal priorities for the next three years.
Stay tuned!!
