Business Roundtable
Last week, we told you that the Flamborough Chamber of Commerce (FCC) is going to try something new.
This Friday, November 29, the FCC will host what it hopes will be the first in a series of ‘Business Roundtables.’ Instead of a breakfast meeting, the Business Roundtable will be held in the community room at the new North Wentworth Arena at Clappison’s Corners starting at 12 noon. And just to ‘sweeten the pot,’ attendance at these meetings will be completely FREE. Including lunch.
We are delighted that City Manager Chris Murray has agreed to be our special guest at the inaugural Business Roundtables. He will share his thoughts on where Hamilton is at … and where it is going. A question and answer session will follow his more formal remarks.
Mayor Bob Bratina and his chief-of-staff Peggy Chapman have also confirmed that they will be attending the Business Roundtables. Make no mistake about it: Chris is the headline speaker this Friday. But we hope to have Mayor Bratina as a featured guest at another Business Roundtables early in 2014. That should be interesting as the next municipal election is less than a year away.
Even though there is no fee for attending, we ask those who intend to come to register with the FCC online HERE.
This will help us in ordering enough food. Hey … you have to eat lunch anyway. Why not join other FCC members on Friday?
