On Tuesday of this week, Executive Director Arend Kersten – on behalf of the FCC BOD – made a presentation to Hamilton Council, arguing that a 70 percent increase in fees for rezoning applications “sends the wrong message” and is a deterrent to new commercial and industrial investment (complete with new jobs and tax revenues).
