ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL OBA GALA
Consensus seems to be that the 2016 sold-out version of the Outstanding Business Achievement (OBA) awards gala at the African Lion Safari last Friday evening was another special evening to remember.
Organized and hosted annually by the Flamborough Chamber of Commerce (FCC), the OBA gala ‘recognizes, honours and celebrates the very best in corporate excellence and community service.’

THE OBA ON COGECO
Thanks to a tremendous community partnership between the FCC and Cogeco, the entire OBA gala was taped and will be broadcast on Cogeco Channel 23 several times over the next number of days, including THIS SATURDAY, April 9 at 4:30 p.m. andTHIS SUNDAY, April 10 at 4 p.m. The final broadcast will be on Saturday, April 16 at 4:30 p.m.
HOW DO WE SAY ‘THANK YOU’
An incredible amount of work went into preparing this year’s OBA gala. Words can’t begin to say how appreciative we are. CHCH reporter Nicole Martin of Carlisle again did an outstanding job as the emcee. A special ‘shout out’ goes to the members of the organizing committee as well as all our sponsors – including award sponsors Cogeco, Enbridge and Hamilton’s Economic Development Department. Table sponsors included Beckett Lowden Read, Harvey’s/Swiss Chalet, Lafarge Canada and Wilkinson Heavy Precast while Waterdown Collision provided the flowers. And two Westjet system-wide ticket vouchers went to Peter Calder of Lafarge Canada – the second time in three years the prize went to a Lafarge Canada representative at the OBA.
The OBA gala – which has evolved into ‘THE social event of the year in Flamborough‘ – simply wouldn’t have happened without the support of our wonderful sponsors. THANK YOU!!
