Just a friendly reminder that the husband-and-wife team of Heather Johnston and Ted Lindsay (Flamborough Review) will host Eric’s Amazing Race tomorrow afternoon at the Waterdown Legion.

The couple – who were awarded the Sandra Gray/Weeks Home Hardware Community Service by an Individual Award at the 2009Outstanding Business Achievement (OBA) awards gala – are hosting the 11th annual race to raise funds to find a cure for Duchenne muscular dystrophy while supporting their nephew Eric Morden who is fighting the disease. To date, the annual car race and silent auction has raised over $150,000.

We encourage our members to visit with Heather and Ted at the Waterdown Legion tomorrow (Saturday, November 2) sometime between 3-7 p.m. There usually lots of free pizza … and a great silent auction featuring over 100 items. Let’s together help find a cure for this insidious disease.
