ONTARIO’S HORSE INDUSTRY
With the Dalton McGuinty provincial government proposing to end the slots and trots ‘revenue sharing’ agreement with Ontario’s horse racing industry, Arend met with Wendy Wasylowich, Bruce Barbour and John Stolte of Flamboro Downs recently. Many in the horse racing community predict the end of the revenue sharing agreement will effectively kill the industry – and it’s 60,000 jobs.
