Executive Director Arend Kersten of the Flamborough Chamber of Commerce (FCC) participated in the groundbreaking of the 120,000 square feet Stryker warehouse facility last week. Currently located on Innovation Drive in the Clappison’s Corners business park, the company was ‘bursting at the seams’ and looking to expand. Despite stiff competition from neighbouring communities, Stryker – a world leader in the manufacturing and distribution of medical devices (everything from hospital beds to replacement knees) – decided to stay in Flamborough in large part because of the extraordinary efforts of Hamilton’s Economic Development Department.
